Kogi State Polytechnic in partnership with Federal University Lokoja has opened applications for the 2025/2026 Top-Up Degree and HND Conversion programme. Interested candidates can apply online by paying N20,000 between 27th August and 24th September. Full details are below.



Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, in collaboration with Federal University Lokoja, has opened the door for its Top-Up Degree and HND Conversion programme. It is a chance for people with Higher National Diploma certificates to move up into full university degrees. It also gives university graduates who left with third class results a way to remedy and stand tall academically. In short, the programme bridges a gap many Nigerians know too well.

Admission Requirements For Kogi State Polytechnic Top-Up Degree/HND Conversion

Candidates are expected to meet certain conditions before they can be admitted:Five O’level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings
At least a third class degree or HND with lower credit from a recognised school
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

Duration And Lecture Period

The programme is designed to fit different schedules.Full-time: Two years, divided into four semesters. Lectures hold Monday to Friday.
Part-time: Two years, but six semesters instead. Lectures are fixed for Fridays and Saturdays.
