As the Convocation Ceremonies at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) approach, it’s imperative for you, as a graduand, to be well-informed about the various procedures and requirements. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough of the mandatory payments, academic outfit acquisition, and other essential aspects of the convocation process.

Mandatory Payment for Convocation Ceremonies

Payments for the Convocation Ceremonies vary depending on your qualification:First Degree: N27,000.00
Master Degree & PGD, M.Phil: N30,000.00
Doctorate Degree: N30,000.00



Purchase or Hiring of Academic Outfits

You have the option to either purchase or hire your academic outfit:First Degree & Masters Degree, PGD, M.Phil.:Purchase: N40,000.00
Hiring: N15,000.00
Doctorate Degree:Purchase: N65,000.00
Hiring: Not Available
Payment Procedure

To facilitate payment, you must:Generate a payment advice from your student portal.
Use the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) to make payment through Remita to the University of Lagos TSA account.
Collection of Academic Outfit and Order of Proceedings

You can collect your academic outfit and Order of Proceedings at various locations including the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS), faculties, and institutes. Remember to provide evidence of payment (online receipts).

Return of Academic Outfit

Return the academic outfit immediately after the convocation ceremonies. Failure to return by Friday, February 2, 2024, will incur a charge of N40,000.00.
Collection of Certificates and Alumni Registration FeeCertificates: Collect your certificates post-convocation. A demurrage charge applies for delayed collection.
Alumni Registration Fee:First Degree: N2,000.00
Postgraduate: N2,500.00
Payable into various UNILAG Alumni Association Accounts.
