AKSU has opened admissions for its 2025 Top-Up and Conversion Degree programmes. The two-year weekend course is open to HND holders, professionals, and graduates looking to improve or switch careers. If you meet the basic requirements, read on to apply.



Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 Top-Up and Conversion Degree programmes. If you hold a diploma or a lower class degree and want a university degree, this might just fit the bill.


Available Courses

All courses fall under the Faculty of Management Sciences:

B.Sc. Accounting
B.Sc. Business Administration
B.Sc. Marketing
B.Sc. Public Administration
Who Can Apply?

This programme suits:HND or HNC certificate holders
University graduates with a third class or pass degree
Professionals with certifications like ACA, ICAN, ANAN, etc., who do not yet hold a degree
Graduates who want to switch into a related course, say from Marketing to Accounting

Basically, if you want a second shot at a university degree or a chance to move forward in your career, you can apply.
Admission RequirementsAt least five O’Level credits, including English and Maths, in no more than two sittings
Proof of completion, exemption, or exclusion from NYSC
Programme Length and FormatDuration: 2 years, broken into 6 semesters
Mode: Weekend classes only (Fridays and Saturdays)
First semester kicks off in August
