OAUTHC 2025 Admission: Higher Diploma in Community Health


Applications are open for OAUTHC’s 2025/2026 Higher Diploma in Community Health. The programme runs for one or two years depending on your qualifications. Find out the entry requirements, how to apply and test dates below.





The School of Community Health, under Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, is now receiving applications for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programme kicks off in September 2025, and depending on your background, you’ll either spend one or two years. In the end, you’ll earn a Higher Diploma in Community Health.


Who Can Apply
Basic Educational Requirements

All applicants must have five credits in:English Language
Mathematics
Biology
Chemistry
Physics

These must be from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, with no more than two sittings.
For One-Year Programme

If you want to apply for the one-year track, you must:Be a qualified Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
Hold a First Degree or HND in Community Health Science, Health Education or Public Health
Be registered with CHPRBN
Have a valid practising licence
For Two-Year Programme



For the two-year route, you need:A Diploma in Community Health
Or a CHEW Certificate with at least five years of work experience
Valid registration and licence from CHPRBN
Selection Process

Admission depends on how you perform in:A written test on Monday, 21 July 2025
An oral interview on Tuesday, 22 July 2025

You’ll need to show your original certificates and valid practising licence on the exam day. Print two copies of your application slip and take them along.

Choose the correct programme:CHEW + BSc or HND for the one-year track
CHEW only for the two-year track
Pay the application fee of ₦15,000 through the REMITA platform
Application DeadlineAll forms must be submitted by Wednesday, 16 July 2025
