UNIBEN Post-UTME & DE Form 2025: All You Need to Know


UNIBEN has opened its portal for the 2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening. If you chose the school as your first choice and scored 200 or more, you’re eligible. This article walks you through how to apply and what to bring for the exam.



Let’s be honest, admission season can scatter your head if you’re not careful. One minute you’re checking JAMB scores, the next you’re Googling “how to pass UNIBEN Post-UTME in one week.” If that’s you, relax small. Breathe. You’re in the right place.

The University of Benin has kicked off its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening for the 2025/2026 session, and if you’ve been eyeing that school, now’s your chance to make your move.


What’s Going On?

UNIBEN’s admission screening is happening from Monday, 1st September to Saturday, 6th September 2025. It’s not virtual. You’ll write it physically at the Ugbowo campus, so better start making plans.

Before you rush to register, here’s what makes you eligible:You must have picked UNIBEN as your first choice when you registered for JAMB.
You need a UTME score of 200 or more (for UTME applicants).
You should have at least five credits in your O’Level, including English and (for most courses) Maths, plus three or four other relevant subjects. You can combine results from two sittings.
And yes, have a valid email address. You’ll need it.
How to Apply (Without Getting Stuck)

The application portal opens by 8 am on Monday, 4th August 2025, and closes by midnight, Friday, 22nd August 2025. No extension, no grace period, so don’t delay.

Here’s what to do:Go to the UNIBEN website
Click on “Application Menu”
Follow the instructions and click “Begin Application Process”
Type in your JAMB Reg Number, JAMB Score and create a password
Use your JAMB Reg Number and password to log in
Fill in your details. Be sure everything is correct before moving on
When you get to payment, click “Pay with Remita”. The screening fee is ₦2,000 (not counting the extra portal charges). Use a working ATM card
Before you submit, preview everything again. No changes after submission o
After submitting, come back later to print your acknowledgment slip and screening invitation with your exam date and time

Simple, but don’t rush the process.

After Registration, What Next?

Once you’ve submitted your application, check back from Wednesday, 27th August 2025. That’s when you’ll find out your specific exam date, venue and time.

And no, you can’t just stroll in anyhow.

Be seated at least one hour before your screening time. That’s not a suggestion. UNIBEN no dey smile on exam day.


Also, leave your phones and calculators at home or you’ll be turned back. Yes, even that small scientific one you’ve been using since SS1.

UNIBEN won’t collect any payment after Friday, 22nd August 2025. So if you miss it, you’ve missed it. No appeal. No story.
