The Interior Minister, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced this significant declaration on a Thursday in Abuja, extending heartfelt congratulations to all Nigerians, both resident and those in the Diaspora. This message radiates a sense of unity and national pride, recognising the contributions of every citizen to the nation’s ongoing journey towards prosperity and development.

In a formal statement released by Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Tunji-Ojo elucidated the government’s unwavering dedication to overcoming the multifarious challenges besieging the country. He highlighted the universal nature of socio-economic and security tribulations, acknowledging that Nigeria is integrally part of the global community facing such issues.
