2025 RAIN Scholarship Opens for AI and Robotics Trainees
Applications are now open for the 2025 RAIN Scholarship for young talents in robotics and artificial intelligence. It offers hands-on training and partial tuition support for tech-minded graduates across Nigeria and West Africa.

Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN) has opened its 2025 scholarship application for graduates interested in diving deep into robotics, automation, and AI. The programme offers training, mentorship, and financial support to help shape the next generation of tech professionals in Nigeria and the West African region.
What RAIN Offers
RAIN, registered since 2019 under RC1607482, focuses on bridging the skill gap in emerging tech. They’re calling on graduates with strong academic backgrounds and a knack for coding to apply for their intensive one- or two-year programmes. All programmes will be hosted in Ibadan.
Available ProgrammesRobot Development and Automation (RDA) – 12 months
Covers robotics design, drone tech, IoT and embedded systems.
Structure:Weeks 1–12: Basics
Weeks 13–34: Advanced robotics and automation
Weeks 35–49: Final project
Weeks 50–52: Evaluation
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) – 12 months
Focus on Python, data science, neural networks, NLP and computer vision.
Structure:Weeks 1–12: AI foundations and Python
Weeks 13–34: Advanced topics
Weeks 35–49: Capstone
Weeks 50–52: Final assessment
Combined AIML + RDA – 24 months
A full programme that combines both software and hardware knowledge for those willing to go the extra mile.

Who Should Apply
The scholarship is open to:Graduates from Nigeria or West Africa
Those with strong coding skills (Python, C++, or C preferred)
Degree holders in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields
Passionate learners willing to relocate to Ibadan
Applicants must own a laptop (minimum Core i7, 16GB RAM)
While a first-class degree is preferred, it’s not mandatory. What matters most is commitment, skill, and a clear drive to grow in tech.
