Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Medical Officer to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in accordance with best practices and medical protocols. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a meaningful career in a reputable medical facility, collaborating closely with consultants, nursing staff, and administrative teams to improve patient outcomes.Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, physical examinations, and relevant diagnostic assessments.
Provide accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
Collaborate with specialists and consultants in the management of complex or referred cases.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, ensure detailed medical documentation, and communicate clearly with patients and their families.
Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and case discussions.
Respond to medical emergencies and perform resuscitation and emergency care procedures as needed.
Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with internal hospital policies and national healthcare regulations.
Engage in Continuous Medical Education (CME) and professional development initiatives.
Offer support and mentorship to junior doctors and interns where applicable.
Perform additional clinical duties as assigned by supervising consultants or management.
Qualifications and Requirements:MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical institution.
Fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Valid practicing license.
Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are an added advantage.
Sound clinical judgment and excellent decision-making capabilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient welfare.
