Apply Now: 2025 Western Union Global Fellowship

If you’re someone who’s already working with refugee or marginalised communities, this might be the chance you’ve been waiting for. The 2025 Western Union Global Fellowship, in partnership with Watson Institute, is now taking applications. It’s a 16-week online programme that gives hands-on support to people who want to take their work further.

No fluff. No fancy words. Just support where it counts.

You don’t need a fancy title or registered business. If you’ve been working with a small team for at least a year and have made real progress, this could be for you.

What You Get as a FellowLive online training with skilled guides
One-on-one mentorship to keep you on track
Money and support to launch a project in your own community (called a “Basecamp”)
A network of others doing similar work around the world

You’ll join others who’ve stood where you’re standing and have gone on to build something meaningful.

One past fellow, Lavina Nagpal, said it helped her “empower others by being empowered myself.” Hassan Mujtaba Zaidi called it the best fellowship he’s ever joined. Enough said.
