FULAFIA’s Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Eligibility for Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)Basic University Matriculation Requirements: Candidates must meet the University’s matriculation stipulations.
Honours Degree: Graduates from FULAFIA or any other accredited university with at least an Honours degree are eligible.
Higher National Diploma (HND) Requirements: A minimum of an upper credit pass in relevant disciplines for HND holders.
HND with Experience: HND holders in relevant disciplines but with a lower credit may also be considered if they possess a minimum of five years of pertinent post-qualification experience.
Specialised HND Qualifications: Candidates with an HND in Horticulture and Nursery Management, or related disciplines from institutions recognised by the University, also qualify.
Alternative Qualifications: Individuals with other qualifications, either with or without relevant experience, may be considered if their qualifications are acceptable to the Board and Senate of FULAFIA.
Criteria for Admission into M.Sc./M.A. ProgrammesBasic Academic Requirements: Five credit passes in relevant subjects are essential.
Bachelor’s Degree Standards: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s degrees (BSc/BA) from recognised universities. A minimum of a Second Class Lower Division and a CGPA of 3.0 is required. For History and International Studies, the CGPA could be as low as 2.50 or a 50% score average.
Requirements for M.Phil/PhD Programmes

Candidates for the M.Phil./PhD programmes must possess a commendable Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised university. The CGPA should not be lower than 3.5 on a five-point scale, or a 55 per cent score average.
Professional Degrees:

Those with relevant experience in the discipline being applied for may also be considered for admission.

Note: All candidates will be required to pass a qualifying examination.
