The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy Fellowship is a one-year programme for young Nigerians who want to serve in government. It is nonpartisan, based on merit, and offers direct experience in public service, policy development, and real-time problem-solving.



As a Fellow, you will work closely with government officials, take part in major community projects, and receive mentorship from respected leaders.

Know who can apply for the 2025/2026 Fellowship

To apply, you must:Be a Nigerian citizen aged between 25 and 35
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or HND
Have completed NYSC or hold an exemption certificate
Show proof of at least two years of work experience

This opportunity is open to both public and private sector applicants.

Referee details:For public sector applicants: your MDA’s Accounting Officer and your Head of Department
For private sector applicants: one referee from academia and one professional referee

Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Shortlisted candidates who meet the basic criteria will be invited to take a CBT.
Leadership Evaluation Hub

Candidates are assessed using a detailed framework to measure their fit for the programme.
Leadership Pitch Video

Finalists must upload a three-minute video explaining why they should be selected.
