Summary of the Role

We are recruiting a Community & Engagement Specialist to anchor the human and interactive side of our ecosystem.

This role requires an outgoing, organized, and highly creative communicator who can manage conversations, grow digital tribes, organize live and virtual engagements, and amplify reach through strategic interactions. Whether it’s WhatsApp community flows, online webinars, IG Lives, or real-world activations, you’ll be the voice that builds community around purpose.

This is your opportunity to work on the frontlines of multiple initiatives that cut across business, advocacy, youth development, women empowerment, and policy. Your success will be measured by the vibrancy and responsiveness of the PDO audience ecosystem.

Role ExpectationsHost and manage active digital communities (WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, IG).
Create and implement audience engagement campaigns across chat, comments, and DMs.
Lead or moderate live events, webinars, IG Lives, or community check-ins.
Design and execute creative audience engagement ideas (quizzes, polls, challenges, flash campaigns).
Manage interactions across all inboxes, responding and routing messages properly.
Generating leads from special tools, events, activations, content creation or hacks - to make sales conversions
Work with the social media officer and project manager to coordinate campaign rollouts and live feedback.
Develop systems that recruit volunteers, followers, realtors or generally ensure growth within all areas of the ecosystem.

Basic RequirementsExperience managing or moderating online communities or WhatsApp groups.
Knowledge of digital events, marketing engagements, and grassroots activation.
Confident communicator — written and spoken — able to moderate discussions and manage people.
Skilled in tools like ChatGPT, Google Forms, Meta tools, StreamYard, Eventbrite, and CRM tools.
Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of delivering under pressure.
Bonus: Event MC, community manager, or brand ambassador experience.
