UCH Ibadan’s School of Health Information Management is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 HND programme. If you have a National Diploma in Health Information Management with a licence or work experience, you can apply online from 28 April 2025. Read on to learn the full steps and exam details.

The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health Information Management at UCH Ibadan is a two-year non-residential course starting in September 2025. You can apply if you meet these requirements:

Hold a National Diploma (ND) in Health Information Management
Have a MERIT or PASS grade in your ND
Own an ND practising licence, or have at least 3 years of work experience in the field
Be medically fit and not pregnant during the training

You must also be prepared to present original certificates at every stage.

Prepare for the computer-based test and interview

If your application is accepted, you will sit a Computer-Based Test (CBT) covering:Health Records Management
Anatomy and Physiology
Clinical Coding
Biostatistics
Computer Science
Health Planning Management

If you pass the CBT, you will be invited for an oral interview. All dates and updates will be sent by email or posted on the school’s website.

Follow the steps to apply online

You can start your application from Monday, 28 April 2025 on the UCH Schools Portal. Follow these steps:Go to the portal and click on REMITA PAYMENT
Make the payment
Sign up using your RRR, email, and password
Log in and download the Applicants User Guide
Fill in your details and complete the application
Print 2 copies of your completed form and photocard
Bring both to the exam centre on your test day
Make a separate payment of ₦500 to the Health Information Managers Association of Nigeria:Bank: Union Bank, UCH Branch

Only complete applications with proof of payment will be accepted.
